My account got suspended

Updated this week

If you are trying to log in and see a message stating that your account has been suspended or banned, it means our system or moderation team has detected a violation of the ESMO rules.

We take fair play and game integrity very seriously. Suspensions are issued to protect the in-game economy and ensure a competitive environment for all managers.

Why was my account suspended?

While specific reasons vary, accounts are most commonly suspended for violations regarding Market Manipulation or Multi-Accounting.

1. Single Account Policy Violations

You may be suspended if you are found to be controlling more than one account. This includes:

  • Creating "alt" accounts to store currency or players.

  • "Account sitting" (logging into or managing a friend’s account).

  • Interacting with other accounts on the same network (e.g., trading or bidding between household accounts).- Attempting to create a new account after being banned. This is a direct violation and will result in the new account being banned automatically.

2. Bid Rigging and Market Manipulation

You may be suspended if you participated in schemes to undermine fair auctions. This includes:

  • Bid Suppression: Agreeing with other clubs not to bid so a specific person wins.

  • Price Fixing: Using "cover bids" to make an auction look competitive when the outcome is prearranged.

  • Signaling: Using chat codes or specific bid amounts to tell rivals to stand down.

  • Kickbacks: Offering side deals or future benefits to losing bidders.

3. Other Violations

Suspensions may also occur for severe toxicity, cheating, or other breaches of our Terms of Service.

Can I create a new account on ESMO Studio after being banned?

If your account is banned on ESMO Studio, creating a new account to bypass the ban is strictly prohibited. This action is considered an alternate account violation and violates ESMO Studio's rules. Any new account created under such circumstances will also be banned automatically, as this is a direct breach of policy.

How to appeal a ban

If you believe your account was suspended in error, or if you wish to explain the context of the situation, you may submit a ban appeal.

To submit an appeal, please send an email to [email protected].

What to include in your appeal

To ensure your appeal is processed quickly and fairly, please include the following information in your email:

  • Subject Line: Ban Appeal - [Your Club name]

  • Account Details: Your club name and the email address associated with the account.

  • The Explanation: This is the most important part. Please explain clearly why your ban should be overturned.

  • If you believe this is a false positive (e.g., you play in a household with other players but strictly followed the interaction rules), provide proof of separate identities.

  • If you were flagged for bid rigging, explain the strategy behind your bidding patterns.

Important Notes

  • One Ticket Only: Please do not send multiple emails regarding the same issue. This will only delay the review process.

  • Honesty: We utilize automated tools and manual reviews to detect patterns. Lying in an appeal is rarely successful and may lead to a permanent ban.

  • Outcome: Our support team will review the evidence and your statement. If the suspension is confirmed valid, the decision is generally final.- Ban Circumvention: Attempting to bypass a ban by creating new accounts will lead to further enforcement actions, including additional bans or restrictions.
