ESMO+ subscription

What ESMO+ Basic and Gold get you, how AI Credits work, how your Discord subscriber role syncs, and how to manage your subscription.

ESMO+ is the optional subscription that helps me cover server and AI costs and gives subscribers some quality-of-life perks. There are two tiers.

The two tiers

ESMO+ Basic

  • No ads

  • Skip progress reports

  • A weekly allocation of AI Credits

  • Special Discord subscriber role

  • You're helping cover server costs and supporting a solo dev. Thank you.

ESMO+ Gold

Everything in Basic, plus:

  • Custom club logo (upload your own image)

  • Rename your players

  • Saved draft strategies — set static draft rules in the v2 draft screen, save them, reuse them per match

  • A much larger weekly allocation of AI Credits

  • Expanded character set for your club name (country flag emoji, hyphens, etc.)

  • Auction end reminders and outbid alerts (push notifications)

  • Higher quotas across the app

AI Credits

AI Credits are the currency for in-app features that use generative AI on the fly. Each feature that needs the AI shows its cost before you confirm, so you always see what you're paying.

Things that don't cost AI Credits: setting up saved draft strategies (those are static rules you define in the v2 screen), and all the regular non-AI features of the app.

Where credits come from

  • ESMO+ Gold: the largest weekly allocation.

  • ESMO+ Basic: a smaller weekly allocation.

  • No subscription: no weekly allocation.

  • One-time packs: you can buy credit packs at any time. These don't expire.

When credits refill

Subscription credits refill weekly. They don't roll over: if you didn't use last week's allocation, it resets, not stacks. One-time pack credits are separate and persistent.

Saved draft strategies (Gold only)

Saved draft strategies are an ESMO+ Gold feature. In the v2 draft strategy screen you set up static rules (preferences, bans, picks per round), save the strategy, and reuse it across matches. Building and using these does not consume AI Credits — they're regular rules, not AI generation.

If you're on Basic or no subscription, you can still draft manually in real time but you can't save a strategy for reuse.

Discord subscriber role

When you link your Discord account to your ESMO account, the ESMO Discord bot automatically gives you the subscriber role. You don't need a redeem code, you don't need to message a mod, the sync runs server-side.

If your subscription lapses, the role is removed automatically.

If you have an active subscription but don't see the role, the most common cause is that you haven't linked your Discord to your ESMO account yet. Open the Profile → Discord linking flow in the app. (Don't have the Discord server yet? See the Community article for the invite link.)

Billing and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android), not by me. Same goes for refunds and cancellations.

To cancel:

  • iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → ESMO+ → Cancel.

  • Android: Play Store → Subscriptions → ESMO+ → Cancel.

Inside ESMO you can see your current tier and renewal status, but you can't cancel from inside the app. That's an Apple/Google rule, not a choice.

For refunds, see the Billing article.

FAQ

Do saved draft strategies cost AI Credits?

No, not anymore. After the v2 draft update, saved strategies are static rules you set yourself — Gold subscribers can save and reuse them. No AI is called, so no credits are consumed.

Do I still need AI Credits if I have ESMO+ Gold?

Only for the features that actually call the AI. Saved draft strategies and most everyday actions don't. Gold's weekly allocation covers the rest comfortably for normal usage.

My credits reset on the weekly refill. Why didn't last week's leftovers carry over?

Subscription credits are a weekly allocation, not a wallet. They reset to your tier's amount each refill, so unused credits from the previous week don't stack. One-time pack credits are persistent and don't reset.

I bought ESMO+ but I don't have the Discord role. Where do I enter the code?

There's no code. The Discord bot syncs automatically once your Discord account is linked to your ESMO account. If you don't have the role:

  1. Open the app → Profile → link your Discord account.

  2. Make sure you've joined the ESMO Discord server (link in the Community article).

  3. Wait a few minutes for the bot to sync.

If it still doesn't appear, ping me in the support channel with your Discord username.

Why can't I cancel from inside the app?

Apple and Google handle the billing, so cancellation has to go through them. ESMO can't process cancellations directly. Use the links above to manage your subscription on the platform that sold it to you.
