Sponsorships

How sponsor contracts work in ESMO: the three sponsors, what missions they give you, how long contracts last, and why you might not have a sponsor right now.

Sponsors give you a signing bonus, periodic mission rewards, and a steady cash flow if you complete their missions. They're one of the main money sources outside competition prize money.

The three sponsors

There are three sponsors that send offers to clubs:

  • Blue Bear (Baseline): normal mission load, normal rewards, modest signing bonus. The safe default.

  • Mammoth (Hyperactive): more frequent missions with higher requirements, smaller signing bonus. Best if you play a lot.

  • WhiteRock (Short-Term): lower mission rewards, but a much larger signing bonus up front. Best if you want a quick cash injection.

You'll only see offers from a sponsor whose profile fits your club. You don't sign all three at once: only one active sponsor contract at a time.

How a contract works

  • Duration: contracts run for a fixed number of in-game days. Manager talents can extend that duration slightly.

  • Signing bonus: paid up front, the moment you sign.

  • Missions: generated continuously over the contract. As you complete them, you claim cash and Club XP.

  • Expiration: at the end of the contract, it closes automatically. Whatever missions you didn't claim are lost.

Missions

Missions are the recurring jobs your sponsor gives you. They come in a few flavors:

  • Play a matchmaking match

  • Play a competition match

  • Register for a competition

  • Reach a certain placement in a competition

  • Assign a player to a specific task (Rest, Replay Analysis, etc.)

Each mission has a recurrence (daily, weekly, or monthly within the contract) and pays cash + XP on claim. Open the Sponsorship tab to see all your active missions and their progress.

Tip: many missions naturally complete just from playing the game normally. Skim the list before you log off, so you can claim everything you've already earned.

Why don't I have a sponsor right now?

A few possible reasons:

  • Your last contract just expired. You're in the offer-refresh window. The system regenerates fresh sponsor offers, but it takes a short period after expiration. Wait a day or two and check the Sponsorship tab.

  • You rejected all pending offers. Once you reject, you have to wait for the offer set to refresh before new ones appear.

  • You have a pending offer you haven't seen. Check the Sponsorship tab carefully, sometimes there's an offer sitting there that hasn't been highlighted clearly.

If your Sponsorship tab has shown zero offers for a while after a contract ended, that's not normal. Contact me.

Renewing a sponsor

There is no "renew" button. When your contract expires, you take a fresh offer from the available pool. It might be from the same sponsor or a different one, depending on what's offered to you that week.

FAQ

My old sponsor is gone and the Sponsorship tab is empty.

Usually means you're in the gap between an expired contract and a refreshed offer set. Check back after the daily reset (UTC midnight). If it's still empty after a couple of days, send me a screenshot and your club name and I'll look into it.

Can I extend my current sponsor?

Not directly. You can buy talents in the Negotiator tree of your Manager Talent Forest to make new sponsor contracts longer and more rewarding. Those buffs apply when you sign your next contract, not retroactively to the current one.

Is sponsorship the only way to make money outside competitions?

Sponsorship missions are the biggest non-competition income source. You also earn from selling players on the transfer market, from the share of cash prizes paid out across competition stages, and from claiming match rewards. Talents in the Negotiator tree can buff several of these income streams.
